This past weekend we finally got to find out the gender of Kasey and Eric's twins at their gender reveal party! Mom and I had worked for weeks trying to put it all together, come up with ideas, and execute the party perfectly. Its kind of stressful planning parties. I definitely am a bit of a perfectionist and I wanted everything to match and taste good. Now that it is all done, I think we did a really good job!
We went with a color theme of light teal, light pink, and grey. It was a bit of a stretch to choose the color pink because Kasey hates pink, but she ended up liking it! Amazing! We used giant balloons filled with confetti for the reveal from this Etsy shop. Megan, the owner, was extremely helpful and even made it possible for the reveal to be a surprise for me also. I wasn't sure how the balloons would turn out, but they were really great! It was the perfect way to find out the genders. Mom and I got sugar cookies made in the shapes of onesies and baby bottles that matched our color theme from Society Bakery in Dallas. Ooohh... they were tasty! Our cake was from Soonja's Bakery in Dallas, which was also delicious.
The crazy Texas weather swung in our favor and it turned out to be a beautiful day. Everyone had a cold glass of champagne punch or beer, yummy snacks, and tasty cake. Kasey and Eric were surrounded by their closest friends and family as they found out what their two nuggets would be. The excitement was palpable and no one could wait for them to pop the balloons. Eric even set up a live stream for people to watch from home! When the balloons popped there were cheers and tears (happy, from mom, of course ;) ). I can't explain the excitement in finally knowing the genders. It almost makes it all the more real. Now I can shop! And I am happy there is a little girl that I can dress up in ridiculous, frilly outfits (no arguing Kase! Haha). I can't wait for these little babies to come into this world so I can snuggle them. Now that we all know what they are we can start envisioning the marvelous life they are going to have.
Below are a bunch of pictures that Jimmy took for the party that I wanted to share with you all! On a completely different note, I have had a couple of appointments with Dr. Pinto since my PCOS post and I have another appointment this Thursday. I will update you all with what is going on then.
Have a great week everyone!
Until next time,
