This past Labor Day weekend, Jimmy and I flew to Colorado to visit my brother and to escape into nature for a couple of days.
It was beautiful and perfect and so much fun. Blog post on where we went and what we did coming soon!
I've been busy editing and working on my agent's suggestions for my novel since getting home, and I sometimes find it easy to neglect my blog. But, I don't want to do that, so tonight I'm sharing with you FIVE of my latest favorit-est songs (I made that word up. Yup, sure did).
These are songs you can dance to, cook to, relax to, and they are all hard not to belt out loud while you're squished in the middle seat of an airplane. I love traveling, but I'm not the biggest fan of the transportation in which we get there. Blah, so many people, so much squishing.
Back to the music! Hope you enjoy these!
Look What You Made Me Do- Taylor Swift
Okay, okay, before you start rolling your eyes... well just don't because T-Swift is the tits. And I don't care who knows it! I will admit when I first heard this song my initial impression was "Huh." But then I listened to it five to seventy more times and I'm back on team Taylor (who am I kidding? I never left). It's just SO catchy. And fierce. SLAYYYYY Girllllll... okay, I'm done.
I, admittedly, have never been a huge fan of Kesha. But home girl has been through the ringer these past couple years and you can hear all the angst, heartache, and pain in this song. It's beyond beautiful, and good for her for making a comeback. This song is v. fun to belt in traffic, but people will stare. Just a warning.
Greatest Love Story- LANco
I am new to the country group known as LANco, but I sure do love their Texas-country, folksy sound. Plus this song is adorbs. As is the video. You're welcome.
Thunder- Imagine Dragons
This song is so fun. I don't really know if he's singing his heart out about the weather or something deeper, but I'm here for it. The aisle and window passengers on the way to Denver were not so thrilled with my bippin' and boppin'. Haters. BTW, this video is weird AF.
Craving You- Thomas Rhett ft. Maren Morris
I know, I know! I'm super late to this train. I'm sorry. Yes, this video is months old, but for some reason, I've been living in a cave and only recently heard this song. So sad, because it is muy Bueno. I like me some Thomas Rhett. And Maren Morris. Okay, I just like this song. The video is shot like a movie also, so, enjoy.
There ya have it! What are some of your favorite songs right now??
Let me know so I'm not five months behind, ya here?
Until next time,
